Happy Wednesday!
I started a little fall and Halloween decorating around my home this week. Last year I made this quilted table runner with some fun Halloween prints following a pattern from Lella Boutique. The polka dots are my favorite!
I bought these adorable bell crocheted flower a few years ago. When I purchased them the lady told me it took a unique person to buy them. Well, I guess I am unique! I think they are so cute, and I am going to try to make some in other colors.
I just started collected some vintage Halloween goodies, and this sweet trick or treat bag is just too cute. I adore that little boys face peeking behind the fence.
I love vintage honeycomb, and when I saw this orange and black one at the flea market last month, I had to have it. I am going to make a Halloween garland to go with it, and will show you it hanging in my home when I finish.
A wooden "Happy Halloween" heart for my front door. Isn't the ghost cute!
A sweet scarecrow waiting for that cooler weather that fall brings. It was in the 90's yesterday, and I am so ready for that crisp fall air!
A vintage style spooky cat found its perfect place in the typewriter.
This wooden kitty has always been my favorite!
A sweet pumpkin resting on vintage books, and...
a fabric pumpkin looking cute on a fall vintage hankie. So, I hope you enjoyed some of my fall and Halloween decorating. Just simple, but sweet touches.
In the evenings I have been working on a crocheted patchwork blanket that I started months ago, and finally have had some time to work on it. The pattern is from the talented Dottie Angel, and when I saw the tutorial on her blog, I fell in love with it, and knew I had to make one.
I have one more row to go, and then I will adorn it with pretty vintage doilies and put a sweet scalloped edging!
Hope you have a wonderful and creative day!
Lovely to see all your fall & Halloween makes and finds, and your crocheted blankie is so fun too. Looks so cosy! Wish I could send you some of our crispy cold air in exchange for some of that heat ;-)

ReplyDeleteThank you so much Mica!! Oh, I wish I could, but half of our house is in boxes (the only good part is the dining/living room), as we are planning on moving within the next months, so I have started packing. So sorry, but thank you so much for asking me to be apart of it :). I am so looking forward to your series, and can't wait to see your sweet home! Have a beautiful day! xo Heather
DeleteLoving your Halloween goodies! :) xx
ReplyDeleteLove the fabric pumpkin, might try that this year seeing as the real one I carved last year scared the life out of my young twins!
ReplyDeleteThank you!! They are so fun to make! Oh, the carved ones can be a little scary. :) xo Heather
DeleteI love all your various pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteWe tend not to celebrate Halloween all that much in the UK, but on bonfire night (November 5th) we really go for it.
Happy October,

DeleteYoue Halloween and fall decor is so cute. Love the way you put things together. Your crochet square blanket is going to be so nice in the winter-pretty colors!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Leslie!! xo Heather
DeleteHappy Fall! You certainly have lots of sweet Halloween and Fall decorations. No Fall weather here -- it's a bit hazy today so not as hot -- only 99 out there right now. That's balmy for us. :) Your crocheted patchwork blanket is lovely. Have a wonderful weekend. Tammy
ReplyDeleteThank you! Oh, hopefully it will cool down for you soon! Have a great weekend! xo Heather
DeleteLove, love, love it all. The black typewriter has turned from a vintage antiquey beautiful reminder of our past to a scary looking black torture machine. Spooky. I love what you have done. I especially love the crochet blanket, I have been crocheting every night on the couch on some floral afghans for my daughter and sister for Christmas. Sometimes I have to rewind parts of the tv show I'm watching several times because I keep missing things when I am so focused on counting my stitches for the flowers. I love crocheting so much. Wish I was better, but I am definitely good enough now, finally, to do some of the things I've dreamed of.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting and leaving the nice comment. Maybe I'll post some pics about the afghans!
Hugs,
Julie
Thank you Julie!! Oh, yes I would love to see your afghans!! Have a beautiful day! xo Heather
