Happy sweet day to you!
Hope your weekend was lovely and you are enjoying some wonderful spring weather. It has been beautiful here!
Well, I took a little "me" sewing time and finished up another hexie flower! I love those strawberries!
So, there are 22 and I am thinking of going for one more row and then to the white ones. I am hoping for just a small lap size, since I want to hand quilt it. I am in no rush and it will definitely be worth the wait once it is finished!
I made this cute patchwork pillow for my mom in some of her favorite colors. There is just something about patchwork that I love, and I might be adding a couple ones to the shoppe soon, too!
I have been on the hunt for some vintage lighter blue variegated thread and I finally found some. It is in size 30, which I have never used before, I always use size 10, so we'll see.
I also found some pretty vintage Daisy baby pink and yellow variegated in size 30, too. So, I guess I better start getting used to thinner thread!
Thank you for all your sweet comments on my last post and for visiting with me today! I'll be back soon to show you some of my baby items that my mom recently sent me.
Wishing you a most lovely and crafty week!
The crochet edge is the perfect touch for the pillow.

ReplyDeleteThat pillow is adorable with your signature scallops. I know your mother must have been thrilled with it.
ReplyDeleteYour crochet edges really do add a lovely touch. Such a beautiful pillow. Is your mother sending you baby things for a reason? Can't wait to see more.

ReplyDeleteLove the hexies. Patchwork is my favorite too. You make the prettiest things. I feel so inspired.
ReplyDeleteLove the Lily varigated thread! I bought the same thread in Canada 40ish years ago and made a tea cloth that I still own to this day--love size 30. I also had some var. blue in the same skeins. Lucky you to find it!
ReplyDeleteYour hexie is so sweet. I love those strawberries. The patchwork on your mom's pillow is adorable, I always love you crocheted edges. What a great find, and you can make up some pretties with that pretty thread.
