quilty things and new items

Hello Sweet Ones and Happy September!
Hope that your weekend was most lovely and you have started this week out wonderfully! Thank you for all your sweet and supportive comments on my maple leaf quilt and coasters!! You truly are the best! Last week I picked up some family heirlooms from my grandmother, as she was moving and could not take these things with her. I look forward to showing you once I get some photos.
Well, another hexie flower is finished and I have 5 more to go! Then, it will be adding all the white hexies to connect them all, and maybe making some half flowers for the edging! I am going to be a little sad when I am done with making these pretty flowers, but can't wait for the it to be finished.
Some more pretty 16-patch quilt blocks are finished. I have four more rows to make and then I can start sewing them all together. I was also working on rows of my ripple afghan, but then the weather turned too be pretty hot and humid, so it is sitting again waiting for those cooler fall days, which I know are near.
And, to welcome those fall days ahead, I have just listed some new fall items into my shoppe! Some pretty vintage fall tea towels and more sets of maple leaf coasters that will add a lovely handmade touch to your fall decorating.
I am also planning to add some more vintage inspired embroidery items to the shoppe soon, and then it will be Christmas sewing and creating! I can't wait!
Wishing you a beautiful and crafty week, and I will be back soon to show you some family treasures!

  8. Hello lovely Heather and what beautiful creations you have been working on again. You are so inspiring and I love everything you do. The hexie flower is so sweet and especially love the colours of this one. I am sure it will feel a bit strange not to be making them, so enjoy the last five as much as you can. Your tea towels, I am feeling a little breathless, they are so gorgeous as are your darling coasters. I hope that all is well with you and hubby and sending you a big hug and best wishes for a great week from over the pond. xoxo
