vintage plastic flowers

Hello and a happy day to you!
Hope that you are having a lovely week so far! Last week I ventured out to some thrift stores and came across this bag full of vintage plastic flowers. I was quite excited to get home and find all these pretties inside! There are pink roses, daises, daffodils, gorgeous teal flowers, and more!I should try to figure out what the names of them are! ;)
I never thought that plastic flowers could bring such a smile to my face, but these sure did! They are so pretty and are now sprinkled throughout my house bringing some spring cheeriness inside!
This cute couple also came home with me! Aren't they cute!
And, these darling skunk decal frames! They have a red corduroy as the background and I want to replace it with a pretty floral print, so I will have to show you once I get finished making them over! It would even be cute to paint the frame, but that might have to wait. ;)
I am still working away on some spring items that will be heading to the shoppe next week!

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my quilt! Wishing you a most lovely day and weekend! xo

  6. Love the plastic flowers!! I don't care much for the modern silk ones but I adore the old plastic ones even though everyone made fun of them when I was a kid.

  12. WOW! The colors are fantastic. Enviable find! I can't wait to see what you make of them. I'm big on hair ornaments, but here's so much more you can do, picture frames, hats... That blue is gorgeous!

  15. Goodness, those flowers took me back to my 70s childhood, my paternal grandmother, who lived in a flat in the centre of a huge city and didn't have easy access to the real thing, filled her home with them.
