a vintagey winter quilt and pillow

Hello and a happy sweet week to you!
I just finished this sweet project that I made for the lovely folks over at RJR Fabrics with one of there new lines coming soon this June called White Christmas by Patrick Lose.
I really love the cute snowmen and winter scene prints in this line, so I thought this sweet vintage snowmen family from a Workbasket magazine was perfect to stitch up! I decided on a embroidered patchwork pillow in redwork and of course crocheted scallops to finish off the pillow!
 I went with a simple patchwork baby size quilt, as I wanted to highlight the snowmen and winter farm scenes. I hand quilted it to give it that vintage look, which I love!
 This would look sweet in a child's room for Christmas time!
 I love the aqua and red in this line!
 And a couple closeups of the snowmen and winter scenes! Aren't they sweet!
 This was a fun project to make with these vintage inspired Christmas line! Thank you to RJR Fabrics for letting me play with this new line!

Now, it is back to hearts and sweet Valentine pretties for the shoppe!

    I am totally in love with the print with the farmhouses and church in the snow! And the redwork snowmen are just precous. I will keep my eye out for this vintage looking fabrics! Your quilt in adorable.

    Heather, these are just plain cute! Such charming fabric! And what really impresses me the most is your crocheted edge and perfect quilting stitches. This would be fantastic for a child's room.

    Such a beautiful little cosy quilt and wonderful pillow, Heather! I love the fabrics, the little snow scenes are very sweet and your snowmen embroidery is perfect with this line.

    Heather , I love looking at your creations, they are so inspiring. Your vintage look is just too cute! I would love to know how to do crochet edges. I don't crochet at all. Is it something someone teach theirselves using a book?
