a sweet finish

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend!
I was so excited yesterday to finish the scalloped edging on my granny blanket! I really love how it turned out.
I had originally started a different scalloped border, and got to the last part of completing it, and did not like how it looked. So, yesterday I spent the day removing the edging, and making this sweet scalloped edge, which I should have just done in the beginning.
Lesson learned, stick with what you know and like. :) I have already started cuddling with it on the couch, and it is the perfect lap size quilt to start crocheting some more blankets with!
This pretty sea blue blanket has been my constant inspiration for starting to crochet. It was beautifully done by my great grandmother. I love the different shades of blue, and the beautiful shell design.
The scalloped edging is so sweet, and now I know where I get my love for those sweet scallops! This is a precious treasure that I just adore! Do you have a family blanket that you love?
I bought some pretty vintage linens that I believe are hand towels, and maybe the one on the right is a napkin. I want to embroider the outline of the roses of the two outer ones, and the middle one I have a special project in mind. So stay tuned! ;)
Last week a sweet packaged arrived from the lovely Kathy of Kluless with the most beautiful vintage doilies, and pretty eyelet trim! Thank you so much Kathy, you know how to make this girl happy with these pretties!

Wishing you all a wonderful start to a new week!!
