On Saturday, I found some little vintage treasures at a thrift store. I have driven by this store before and have been wanting to take a peek inside. So, I finally did and I was glad I peeked! I love finding vintage frames, and pretty plates to decorate my walls.
Enamelware is on my list of of vintage goodness. It is the best when it is rough and has been well used. I see some sweet spring flowers in this little enameled pitcher!
I am also a big fan of Aunt Martha's and Vogart heat iron transfers. These pretties have never been opened! I think this is the best way to buy them.
I have never actually used the iron to transfer the print, because they are so fragile. (If you have, let me know if you did anything special or how it worked out for you.)
So, I always trace the pattern on paper before transferring onto fabric to embroider. Maybe I will do a little tutorial later. :)
I love the sweet graphics! There is something about vintage illustrations that makes my heart happy!
Did you find some vintage treasures for yourself this weekend? Happy Monday!
Ha! I just iron those suckers right on without even thinking about it. I probably should have thought of it a little more. You found all my favorites today. Smiles...Renee
ReplyDeleteYour funny, Renee! Have you had any problems with ironing them on? Let me tell you, I have been very tempted, but was so afraid I would burn it or it wouldn't work. Also, I wanted to be able to use the print again for something else, have you been able to use the same print more than once? xo Heather
