I thought it would be fun to share my vintage cat eye glasses with you, to give you a little glimpse of me! I purchased these about 7 years ago, and they were a perfect fit! I think they were waiting ever so patiently in the store for me! They have become my staple, and are pretty much glued to my face, permanently. Ha, not really! ;)
I love the pretty shooting stars on them, and how they sparkle in the sunshine! The curves on the sides make them so comfortable. I wish I could have 10 more for backup, or even in different colors like red, grey, aqua, and green. Ooh, that would be fun!!
Sometimes when I am out and about, a sweet older lady will look at them and smile, and I always wonder, were these hers? I would have loved to met the lady who wore these ever so proudly, as I do today, and will be for a very long time!!
Thank you sweet friend for your kindness.
ReplyDeleteI love the doily's and the glasses. I love your blog.
Love ya,Debbie:)
Thank you Debbie for such a sweet comment!! ;) xo Heather
DeleteLove these! I have a friend who wants pair so I alwys keep my eyes out for them. Did you have much trouble getting your prescription lenses to fit them?
ReplyDeleteThanks! I don't have trouble, the only thing is you have to sign a waiver, that if they break them when putting new lenses in, I am liable, not them. But, that has never happened, thank goodness!! ;) xo Heather
DeleteCool!
ReplyDeleteMy grandma had some cat-eye glasses with 'diamonds' in them... or so we kids thought they were diamonds.
I love whenever someone just is happy with who they are! Gives us all the freedom to be who we want to be and feel good about it!
I say.. keep wearing the glasses, and stay sassy :)
Really? That is so great!! I like to think mine are diamonds, too!! ;) I plan, too! xo Heather
DeleteWhew! You didn't torture us by showing more things you're working on for your shop today. I'll be able to stand it for a few more days. LOL
ReplyDelete(True confession: I recently sold my mom's perfect condition cat eye glasses on etsy! They really did not look good on me, so someone else is enjoying them.)
No, don't worry, I won't torture you today, maybe tomorrow! ;) I tell you, weaving in the crochet ends, really takes time! But I am getting there!! Oh, how lovely! I would have loved to see your mom's glasses!! I am sure that someone is wearing them proudly!! ;) xo Heather

DeleteThose are awesome! Did you get prescription lenses put in them? Or are they just for fashion?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! They do have prescription lenses in them!! When you get the lenses in them, I have to sign a waiver that they are not liable for them since they are vintage, in the case they break them, but I am glad that has never happened. I would be devastated! ;) xo Heather
DeleteThe glasses are great! Daughter number 2 who wear vintage and thift store finds all the time, asked for a pair for Christmas. There is an online store that will put your eye glass prescription into a vintage pair of eye glasses. She loves them.
ReplyDeleteThanks for following my blog! I love looking at the number of followers as it grows!

DeleteYou are such a cutie! =D Please post a pic of you wearing them...I'll bet you look adorable! My 14 year old granddaughter wants to collect them...she has 20/20 vision and so desparately wants to wear glasses so I gave her a pair without glass in them. Fun post! =D
