Happy Sweet Day!
Thank you for all your lovely comments on my newest items! You always know how to brighten my day!
Well, are you ready to do some laundry? This sweet vintage laundry bag is one of my newest treasures that I am so giddy over. The grey kitties are what had me at getting this and I couldn't pass them up. They are just too adorable, especially with their sweet green bows and those pretty poppies below!
This is my first tinted item and it could be by Vogart, but I'm not sure. The embroidery is not finished, so it will be added to my list to do, as I think it will look sweeter with it done. I love how the letters are hanging on the line, such a cute touch!
I look forward to having an actually laundry room one day to hang this cute bag in! Do you have any vintage tinted treasures?
The hexie flowers are still coming! ;)
And, my mini barn block quilt top is finished! Today, I did a little machine quilting around each barn, then I will be hand quilting the rest. Once that is finished I will be adding the red gingham binding to match the sashing and it will be done to enjoy! I really do love these small quilts, especially since I am still learning the quilting process. I think my favorite part is piecing, binding and quilting if the basting goes well. I hope once I get better at basting, I will love the quilting part even more!
Wishing you a most lovely and crafty day!!
Wonderful job on your mini barn block quilt. It's just beautiful. That laundry bag with the gray kitties is perfectly YOU! I'm so glad it found its way to your house.

Cute kitties! I'm not even sure I've seen a tinted item in person!
ReplyDeleteI miss having a laundry room. My current "laundry room" is in the main bath and I don't like it! It's been easier with my boy away but it's still not the ideal situation.
I think your little barns are so cute! I love your color choices. ♥
Your laundry bag is amazing I just adore it. So so sweet. The fabrics on your flower are just beautiful. Your mini barn quilt is just beautiful. I am behind on mine again. Maybe there will be some sewing time today.

I have one more hexie to sew and I will have my first diamond hexie done. Only 93 (or maybe 107) more to go!
ReplyDeleteI love your barn quilt. Is that what you were basting yesterday? How did it go?
I just discovered your pretty... I mean BEAUTIFUL blog! You are so talented and I adore your style. If you don't mind, what size of hexies are you using for your grandmother's garden quilt? It is going to be gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI'm so in love with laundry bags, too. I have one hanging in my sewing room - it's too cute to hang outside with my "real" clothes line.
ReplyDeleteThose kittens are so adorable. I can't wait to see this piece finished up. I have only run into one tinted hot iron transfer and I think it was Vogart. I wonder how well they hold up to washing since the blue lines are always intended to wash away.
ReplyDeleteI love this! I have a few tinted pieces - one a sampler I keep thinking I'll do. I made a color copy of it ... not quite sure why, but it seemed like a good idea to have a record of how it looked before.
ReplyDeleteLove all of your new items!! I have just one tinted piece...a dresser scarf with pink roses.
ReplyDeleteI'm not at all surprised that you fell in love with this when you saw it. It's so cute and adorable.

Hi Heather...were the tinted fabrics made to embroider or is that optional? I think it would look a lot bolder when embroidered. I hope you show us the final result!
ReplyDeletesweet barn wall hanging! and your laundry bag is adorable too.. anything that makes doing laundry more pleasant is awesome in my book!
ReplyDeletehappy Thursday!
