Happy Monday! How was your weekend?
On Saturday, I woke up early ready to go to an estate sale. I started driving and my tire pressure light came on, so I went back home to check them and they looked fine, so I returned to the road. Then, right as I was about to get off my exit, my GPS shut off, and of course I didn't have the charger. I tried calling my husband, but he didn't answer, and I had no clue how to get there, or even have the address written down. So, it wasn't meant to be. What is a girl to do! ;)
Luckily On Sunday, I went to my local monthly flea market to find myself some treasures, and boy was it hot! I even got there earlier, hoping to beat some of the heat.
I found this pretty vintage apron, that I just love. The red roses, and yellow daises are just so sweet!
There were a lot of stains, so I soaked and washed, and now it is ready to wear!
Some gorgeous vintage hankies, which are always a favorite to get.
A package of flower candle holders, which I have been wanting for awhile. They are so adorable! And, how sweet are these tally cards! Oh, my that little doggie is precious!
Here is the back of the card, and I have to ask, what game were these used for? I can only imagine what other cute tally cards might be out there! I bought some other fun vintage goodies that I will show you on Wednesday. It was so hot taking these pictures, I could only do a few! ;)
And, a little sneak peak of my new item that will be going in my new shoppe tomorrow!! I will post and let you know once they are all listed!
Hope that you all have a wonderful and creative week!
What great finds! The apron is just sweet! I've stumbled upon your blog and I'm glad I did!

Deletebeautiful finds, and what interesting little tally cards! a real little piece of history! xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Aren't they fun, and I have learned they are for bridge, so I need to learn to play! xo Heather
DeleteWould you be willing to share what you soak your linens in to get the stains out of them?
ReplyDeleteOf course.. I use Oxy Clean. I was hesitant about using it, since I like to use more natural/basic cleaners, but it is the only thing that seems to really work. Lemon juice I heard works great, but I just don't have a lot of it. I usually soak anywhere from 8 hours to overnight. Then, wash and even soak again. They never are perfect and some stains just don't go away, but it helps. Happy day to you! xo Heather
