sweet makings

Hello dear friends! Hope that your weekend was wonderful!
It was a busy, but productive one for me, and I am happy to show you two more pretty hexie flowers for my quilt.
The process is going quicker than I thought, so I hope to be able to keep up with two a week. The hardest part so far is choosing the fabrics, but it has been a great way to use up some of my scraps!
I also worked on some vintage tea towels over the weekend. They are getting their finishing touches and will be in the shoppe at the end of the week, and just in time if you are planning on doing some Mother's Day shopping.
I've been playing with a new idea for an item to put in my shoppe with this pretty cross-stitched rose, which I still need to add some leaves and little flowers to. There will be this pink one and an aqua one, so we'll see how my idea turns out!
And, I just finished this sweet vintage embroidery that will be made into a larger project I have stirring in my head. I told you my weekend was busy, but definitely what I like to be busy with! Are you working on any crafty goodness? Well, I am looking forward to catching up with you!

Wishing you a most lovely and creative week!

  3. I bet you have some favorites in the calico prints that you're putting together for hexies already. Your dish towels are so gorgeous Heather, of all your beautiful projects, they are the sweetest to me. It's snowing here, again. We had the Jesus Culture concert at the church last Thurs. nite, 7" of snow fell afternoon and all evening. This afternoon it started again and we are now expecting 5-8" more. YUK.

  4. I really like your fabric choices for your hexies. I used to have the exact fabric that you put in the center of the flower on the left, it was maybe 15 years ago that I bought it.

That is a sweet embroidery project with the three little kittens and their mittens.

    Have a great week. xo

You are such a talented lady, I love all the things you are working on. I would like to do one of those cross-stitched roses, myself. I especially love the vintage tea towels with the yellow floral background. Yellow is becoming a new fave colour. Have a super week.
