mah cookin'

This sweet embroidery was a fun find at that estate sale over the weekend. It was a towel, cut apart and with many holes, but I just loved this phrase and the cute 'mah' with her bloomers showin'. I am going to find a small frame to hang it up in my kitchen!
These very floral fabrics were another great find. I am not a huge fan of orange and brown together, but there is something about the first two that I like. They are upholstery fabrics, which I love using for tote bags. There was a huge pile of pieces all in this cut out shape. Maybe she used them for chairs, or was going to?
This one would be a great fall tote, with some other pretty fabric. What do you think?
This piece is my favorite!! I love the orange, light blue, yellow, and green together! So pretty!!
This one says a summer day to me!! Such bright and cheery colors. I am thinking totes for them all!!
Here is the pretty pile of all the pieces. I look forward to using them up!!
These pretty feedsacks came in the mail the other day from Etsy. I love the color combinations on both pieces! I have never been lucky yet, to find feedsacks at an estate. Maybe one day!!
Grannie block number 5! Only 15 more to go!! I am going to try to do a few this week, because I am getting eager to get it done by June!
Sweet crocheted grannies!! I love all the greens!!
Hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday!! I am having one of those days, where I have so many things to do, but can't focus on one! Hopefully something will get finished today! ;)

  5. Once again.. you really found some treasures!!

Those autumn floral fabrics SO remind me of our old motorhome~~LOL!
I think we had some of those patterns in the curtains, and the cushion covers.
It was all the rage in the '70's after all :)

I think they are going to make beautiful totes!!
How clever you are to re-purpose them.

    Have a great evening.

  6. You find the prettiest fabrics and stiteries. That little towel will be so cute framed. And those orange -ish colors remind me of growing up in the 70's. Holly Hobbie and sunshine. :0) Your granny blocks are too cute and I love how you are crocheting a couple squares at a time. How will you attach them? Do you have a color in mind?

  32. I just came by, got distracted by your etsy shop and nearly forgot to leave a comment! Your shop makes me very distractable. (yes, probably not a real word, but it fits, so I'll use it)

Love your finds. I have a terrible weakness for needlepoint too. Especially cottages or flowers (which is not a complete sentence). Now that I know you taught, I'll have to make sure my sentences are grammatically correct. LOL

Did I mention how I am lovin' those vintage fabrics? The first one is growing on me, but that second one? I like it! Oh and did I mention that I have a weakness for cabbage roses too?
