happy flower quilts blog hop and book giveaway-closed

 Hello sweet friends!

I am so excited to be apart of the Happy Flower Quilts Blog Hop today and share a couple of sweet projects that I made from the book!! The lovely and talented quilter and fabric designer, Atsuko Matsuyama, has always been such an inspiration to me and I love all her books, and happy that the sweet folks over at Zakka Workshop for reprinting this one in English!

 My first project I made was the Sweet Summertime Mini Quilt which was so fun to make. I really enjoyed the whole process of the appliqué, hand sewing, and quilting!

 I used a mix of fabrics from Lecien's Old New 30's collections, including the new one coming out in March, which is beautiful! And, some of my favorite Atsuko Matsuyama prints!

 The scallops were such a sweet ending touch to this quilt, and they were a first for me and definitely a new favorite!

This was an enjoyable project from the book and I look forward to making the Spring Strawberry Mini Quilt next!

 I also made this pretty Heart Tea Mat and it was such a quick and lovely project to hand sew and quilt! If you have never tried hand sewing and quilting, I would highly recommend it to you!! I truly love and enjoy the whole process!

pixie noel blog tour

 Hello sweet friends!

It's my turn on the Pixie Noel Blog Tour and I'm excited to share this sweet patchwork pillow I made with the darling new line and embroidery pattern created by Tasha Noel for Riley Blake Designs.

 Tasha always has the sweetest embroideries to stitch up, and I enjoyed stitching this cutie up. I should have made the hand stitching green instead of aqua to stand out more, but it still looks sweet.

 I love all the darling prints and pretty colors in this line, and so perfect for a vintagey Christmas!

sweet tweets

 Hello lovelies!
My sweet and dear friend Erin of Why Not Sew? published a darling new book called Sweet Tweets that is a must have in your stash of crafty books! Its filled with such beautiful and sweet projects that you will love!

 I've always loved her sweet birdie quilts that she makes, and was excited to make this pretty "Birds and Bees" hot pad from her book as it combined my love for hexies and crocheted scallops!

I choose some pretty autumn florals and a peach cream crocheted edging! I love how Erin adds crocheted edgings to some of the projects, which is one of my favorite touches! Aren't those birds cute!

I really enjoyed making this sweet hot pad and look forward to making some more pretties from Erin's book!

sweet deer and fawn pillow

 Hello and Happy September!

I hope that you are doing wonderfully and enjoying the last days of summer!

I wanted to share this sweet vintage deer and fawn pillow I recently finished! It seemed like it took me months to get it stitched, as I just worked on it in my down time from shoppe items. I decided on a sweet floral binding and it now has a lovely spot in my home!

I started to take out some fall items to decorate, as I am eager for those cooler and crisp days! This is one of my favorite vintage hankies that I have found and I love taking it out for fall. I'm working on some new fall items for the shoppe and will be posting towards the end of the month once I know an exact date/time I will be listing them in my shoppe!

a sweet doll quilt

 Hello!

I hope that you are enjoying the summer!I wanted to pop in to share this sweet custom order that I just finished for a doll quilt and pillow. I shared the process over on my IG but thought I should share it over here, too! ;)

I choose a simple four-patch as I wanted to highlight the cute prints with a pretty pastel pink for the solid, and hand quilted it with lots of love.

This is the backing which I just love!!

This is the darling baby bluebird pillow that I made to go with the quilt. It turned out pretty sweet! These are both on their way to their new home with a sweet little girl and her dolly. 

I can definitely see more doll quilts in my future!

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my baby quilt! I appreciate them all! I hope that you are enjoying some lovely weather. We've been having a little June gloom, but the sun is finally shining a little today!

I wanted to share this sweet vintage crocheted rose pillow I made for a lovely customer! I have always wanted to make one, and so happy I finally had the chance for this custom order. I love how it turned out and will definitely be making one for myself very soon! I will also be listing this pillow cover as made-to-order in my shoppe come mid to the end of June for my next shoppe opening! You can get some other sneak peaks at my new items over on my IG!
